YouTube Analytics offers deeper insights

#alttext#

YouTube replaces Insights with YouTube Analytics, being rolled out today. Here’s the documentation.

Some of the latest features in Analytics:

A Quick Overview: A new overview provides all of the information that you care about quickly, while also enabling you to easily access more detailed information.

More Detailed Reports: Analytics now includes more detailed statistics so that you can have a more precise understanding of your content and audiences.
Audience Builders: Discover which videos are driving the most views and subscriptions.

Audience Retention: See how far viewers are watching through your video in the new audience retention report.

The Creator Playbook has also been updated to show you how to use your new Analytics to build and engage with bigger audiences, earn more money, and make better videos.

Little Printer

little printer

Little Printer lives in your home, bringing you news, puzzles and gossip from friends. Use your smartphone to set up subscriptions and Little Printer will gather them together to create a timely, beautiful mini-newspaper.

Connected to the Web, Little Printer has wide range of sources available to check on your behalf. We call them “publications”. Subscribe to your favourites and choose when you’d like them delivered. Right on time Little Printer gathers everything it needs to prepare a neat little personalised package, printed as soon as you press the button. You can get deliveries multiple times a day, but we find once or twice works best–like your very own morning or evening newspaper.

Breitling: Jetman vs. Jetteam

Yves “Jetman” Rossy has shifted up yet another gear with a formation flight alongside two jets from the Breitling Jet Team. The world’s first jet-powered man jumped off a helicopter with his rigid wing equipped with four jet engines. Adjusting his trajectory and altitude by his body movements alone, he then performed aerobatic figures above the Swiss Alps in the company of two L-39C Albatros planes from the Breitling Jet Team, the world’s largest professional civilian aerobatics team performing on jets.

Javascript Libraries vs Flash

jquery vs. flash

W3techs monthly statistics for javascript libraries show the unstoppable rise of jQuery as it becomes de facto base for modern websites. The user bases of all other established js libraries (mootools, prototype, etc.) are stagnating.

The usage statistics for flash continue to fall: down to just under 26% of all websites.

Social Media Reichweite in Deutschland

#alttext#

Facebook Kampagne für The Help

#alttext#

Facebook comments vs. likes

#alttext#

According to Edgerank, a comment on a Facebook status update is four times as valuable as a like, in terms of generating click-throughs.

We analyzed how many Clicks a Post received against each major metric (Likes, Comments, Impressions). This can give a marketer a basic guideline on how many Clicks (on average) they can expect per engagement type. For example if you’re Post received 2 Likes, the Link on average should receive approximately 6 Clicks. The results are as follows:

Avg Clicks Per Like: 3.103
Avg Clicks Per Comment: 14.678
Avg Clicks Per Impression: 0.005

The essentially means that a comment gives a status post more than four times the social reach than a like does.
