Google’s Chrome browser has overtaken Firefox in terms of marketshare, according to statcounter, taking users away from both Firefox and IE. Apple’s Safari and Opera are both flatlining at 5.92% and 1.82% respectively.
W3techs monthly statistics for javascript libraries show the unstoppable rise of jQuery as it becomes de facto base for modern websites. The user bases of all other established js libraries (mootools, prototype, etc.) are stagnating.
The usage statistics for flash continue to fall: down to just under 26% of all websites.
